What is the Ticket BAI? 🎫
TicketBAI is a shared project between the three Provincial Councils and the Basque Government that aims to establish a series of legal and technical obligations, so that, from the entry into force of TBAI, all natural and legal persons carrying out an economic activity must use billing software that meets the technical requirements that are published.
How does it work? 🔄
The Ticket BAI system establishes that all companies in the Basque Country must send their invoices to the Provincial Council, guaranteeing detailed monitoring of all cash transactions. Its main objective is to supervise economic activities, as well as to prevent tax evasion and the underground economy. To achieve this, all companies must report 100% of their invoices, each with a QR code and TBAI, and then send them to the Tax Agency for storage and control.
The digitization of commercial invoices seeks to simplify processes with public administrations, saving you a lot of time and money. All companies in the Basque Country, regardless of their size or income, are affected by this regulation. For example, for clubs in Playtomic:
Biscay: From January 1, 2024.
Gipuzkoa and Álava: It has been in operation since the beginning of 2023.
Advantages 🚀
The main advantage for companies, including Playtomic Clubs, is to improve relations with public administrations, reducing management costs and saving significant time. Generating a ticket for each sale ensures that customers have a receipt to claim if necessary. The main disadvantage, especially for small businesses, is the need for billing software compatible with Ticket BAI regulations. Playtomic already includes this option, and we encourage you to adopt this service to comply with the regulations.
Sanctions for non-compliance ⚠️
We want to emphasize the importance of complying with this regulation. During the trial period in 2019, approximately 25% of Basque entrepreneurs did not comply, resulting in fines of up to 600 euros.
Important: We need your Digital Certificate 🔐
It is crucial to avoid sanctions and ensure compliance with the requirements. To carry out the process, we will request information about your company, such as the name of the company and the CIF. Once it has started, we will need your Digital Certificate, as without this information it will be impossible for us to complete the process.
