Change of the IGIC value from 6.5% to 7%

The value of the IGIC changes again in 2020 and therefore, you will have to update it in your management programs so that the breakdown of the tax in the collections is done as published in Law 19/2019, of December 30, in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC).

It is important that clubs and centers in the Canary Islands make this change as soon as possible.

To do this, the most convenient thing is to access the menu:

1. Invoicing / Tax types

2. New

3. Create a new type of tax (if you do not already have it created) called IGIC 7%, filling in the fields of

• Name: IGIC 7%

• Value: 7

4. Save

Note: the tax type that is at 6.5% can be renamed as IGIC 6.5% to facilitate the next step.

Next, we have to change all the products that are at 6.5% IGIC to the new tax type. To do this:

1. We access the menu Configuration / Products

2. We make the following filter to identify the products to be modified

3. Click on the reference of each one.
4. Edit.
5. Change the Tax Type by selecting from the drop-down menu the IGIC 7%
6. Save.
