To use this functionality we must take into account that it only works with installments that have a monthly periodicity and is calculated in the first installment to be paid by the customer.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The program calculates the amount to be paid by the customer in their first installment on the day they start enjoying the services associated with that installment.

HOW IS IT CALCULATED?

The program divides the total amount of the installment by the number of days in the month to calculate the daily amount and multiplies it by the remaining days until the end of the month from the start date of the installment.

Example in a February month:

We have a monthly installment of 30€.
The customer becomes a member on the 5th day of the current month.

The initial installment to be paid will be:
(30€/ 28 days) x (28 days - 4 days not enjoyed) = 25.71 €

Example of a month with 31 days

- We have a monthly installment of 30€.
- The customer becomes a member on the 5th day of the current month.

The initial installment to be paid will be:
(30€/ 31 days) x (31 days - 4 days not enjoyed) = 26.13 €

The proration of installments applies to all monthly installments configured in the program, that is, whether the installment paid is for a type of customer, for a school course, or having a tag.

HOW IS THIS FUNCTIONALITY CONFIGURED?

It's very simple, you just have to go to the installment you want to activate the proration from the menu Configuration/ Services, search for the installment and edit. In the field 'Prorate first month installment' check the box. Finally, save the changes.

WARNINGS!

• The first installment issued will always be prorated as long as the date within the month is different from the 1st.
  ​

• If that installment has already been issued previously and it is subsequently configured to prorate that installment, the program will not prorate that customer as it has already been issued.

• If the date of the customer's first payment is later than the start date we have configured in the installment for the maturity of these, there will be no proration and the first installment the customer will pay will be the following month in its entirety.
